Full Job Description:

Position Objective: The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture at Soma. They ensure a great customer experience and maximize profitability by utilizing sales techniques and maintaining knowledge of current sales and promotions.

Functional Responsibilities:

Drive for Results:

  • Meet company sales goals by communicating product knowledge to customers and recommending merchandise selections.
  • Maintain pricing and visual standards.
  • Participate in visual directives and store maintenance.

Customer Experience:

  • Model and promote excellent customer service principles.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure efficient register experience and achieve add-on goals.
  • Sign up clients for reward programs and maintain consistent client communication.

Operational Excellence:

  • Support replenishment activities and locate fulfillment.
  • Assist with visual directives and boutique cleanliness.

Teamwork and Growth:

  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Seek personal development opportunities and solicit feedback.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant Walking/Standing: 67-100% of 8-hour shift
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.: 1-33% of 8-hour shift
  • Frequent Climbing: 34%-66% of 8-hour shift
