Background: UNICEF is seeking a Human Resources Specialist (Career Development) to support its transformative efforts in talent development. This role will focus on enhancing staff skills, capabilities, and potential to drive individual and organizational growth.

Key Functions/Accountabilities:

  1. Conduct needs assessments and provide guidance to regional and country offices on career support interventions.
  2. Manage the Professional Development Programme for National Staff, coordinating workshops and assessing impact.
  3. Evaluate workshops, webinars, and coaching sessions, preparing reports and integrating feedback.
  4. Support the design and implementation of new career development programmes.
  5. Maintain a centralized repository of career development resources and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions with HR colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced university degree in human resource management, business administration, public administration, social sciences, or related fields.
  • Professional certification or additional training in relevant areas is desirable.
  • At least five years of progressive professional experience in human resources, organizational development, or change management in a global/international organization.
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of a second UN language is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with developing country work and/or emergency contexts is considered an asset.
