Overview: MISTAAN CATERING & SWEETS INC. is currently hiring Cooks to join our team in North York, ON. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in our restaurant and catering firm. Work Setting: Restaurant, Urban area, Catering firm

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Plan menus, estimate food requirements, and monitor supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and safety
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation and handling
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
